A Moment With Rising Music Star Nathalie Miranda on Her New Single ‘Battle Scars’

New Single ‘Battle Scars’ – an empowering anthem about coming back stronger!

Introducing Nathalie Miranda

Nathalie Miranda is back with her latest single ‘Battle Scars’. She is notable for her performances on Patreon, StageIt, and Instagram. Her previous singles ‘Poltergeist’ and ‘Catch-22’ have caught the attention of a global audience. Born to Greek-Cypriot parents, Nathalie was raised to be a prodigy as she was from a musical family herself. It’s part of her DNA!

Her grandfather was a violinist who worked for many years in Cyprus as a professional musician and continued to do so when he came to England in the 1960s. She also has cousins in Cyprus who are professional musicians. Nathalie started her piano lessons at the tender age of 6 and explored her singing skills tentatively in her teens. She was incredibly shy. But when she was 15, she realised that music was the only path for her and she would do everything to make that happen.

‘Battle Scars’ – An Anthem To Empowerment

‘Battle Scars’ is about building bridges and moving ahead empowered and ready to face anything. It is a song about a woman coming through a bad relationship. Her metaphorical ‘battle scars’ are a reminder of the pain she went through.

The song itself harks back to a 70s vibe. Nathalie has thoroughly researched and found inspiration from music of that era, including TV themes such as Starsky & Hutch, and Charlie’s Angels.

Anyone who knows Nathalie will know that  Freddie Mercury is her idol. She paid homage to him by recreating his infamous mic stand in the video too. Nathalie says, ‘I remember writing the lyrics while I was on the phone having an interview actually! I wanted the song to have a similar retro feel to ‘Catch-22’, but ‘Battle Scars’ needed to be more about that raw sound to give it that live band vibe. So I took inspiration from classic bands like Free and current bands like Rival Sons. The main thing about ‘Battle Scars’ is that it is actually a positive song about empowerment and coming back stronger.’

Apart from promoting her new single ‘Battle Scars’, Nathalie is keeping busy with a great deal of new creative work and has some new exclusive pieces which are planned to be released in 2021. You can visit Nathalie Miranda’s website to find out more about her and her music.
