Lexy Nair On Her New Series “Outside The Ring,” Working With AEW, Cody Rhodes, DDP & More

Founded by CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan, All Elite Wrestling — or AEW, for short — is a new professional wrestling league headlined by Cody & Brandi Rhodes, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Chris Jericho, Sting, Hangman Page and Jon Moxley. For the first time in many years, AEW is offering an alternative to mainstream wrestling, with a roster of world-class talent that is injecting new spirit, freshness and energy into the industry. The inaugural event under the AEW banner was the sold-out Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas in May 2019. AEW began airing its weekly show Dynamite on TNT in October 2019, since finding success with a variety of other weekly programming, including AEW Dark, AEW Elevation, Being The Elite and AEW Unrestricted.

The latest program to be unveiled by AEW is Outside The Ring, as hosted by Lexy Nair. This new weekly digital series premiered on April 9, 2021 on the official AEW YouTube channel, featuring Nair’s interview with AEW women’s division competitor Abadon; a trailer of that interview is embedded below. As announced earlier this week, the second edition of Outside The Ring will premiere on April 16, 2021 and feature The Dark Order’s Evil Uno and Stu Grayson. And plenty more episodes of Outside The Ring are reportedly planned for release in 2021 via AEW with Nair as the show’s host.

On April 13, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Lexy Nair via Zoom, as embedded below. Among the topics we discussed:
– Whether she had done interviews before working with All Elite Wrestling
– What sort of preparation is needed for her interviews
– The AEW performers who have helped her as a performer
– Where her career path was headed pre-AEW
– Hobbies when not occupied with AEW

More on Lexy Nair can be found here, here and here, while Outside The Ring can be streamed here.
