Mellor – ‘Vacant Stare’

Following on from the enormous success of their previously shared single ‘Lost In This World’, which dropped in February, Reading-based indie-rockers Mellor have now returned to announce the details of their next EP ‘Fragment Of Imagination’, alongside the blistering new cut ‘Vacant Stare’.

After last year’s collection ‘Dive Into The Strange’ found its way into the UK album charts, ‘Fragment Of Imagination’ looks to continue that run of form with its fiery pace and euphoric direction. Led up by the new single ‘Vacant Stare’, it is clear these boys mean business as their latest effort sees them rattle off one powerful hook after another, creating one of the most intense listening experiences of their career so far.

Adding about the new track, they said, “Vacant Stare is about becoming hostile and reliant on confrontation to feel good. It came from observing people arguing on social media about the most trivial subjects.”

Despite the current global pandemic, Mellor maintained their momentum in 2020, releasing single ‘Heaven isn’t Yours to Give’, signing a management deal with Eighty4 Music, and getting picked up by Rob McGee at FMLY agency for live events.

Never faltering, Mellor steamroll into 2021 with a schedule of genre-bending releases through Eighty4 Music / Ingrooves that are poised to make the band one of the hottest tipped acts of the year.

‘Vacant Stare’ is out on 16th April 2021, with the new EP ‘Fragment Of Imagination’ out on the 14th May via Eighty4 Music.
