UTA Signs Multi-Platinum Recording Artist Lil Wayne

Leading global talent, entertainment and sports company UTA has signed legendary, Grammy Award-winning recording artist and entrepreneur Lil Wayne for worldwide representation in all areas.

Regarded by many as one of the most influential rap artists of his generation, Lil Wayne has made an insurmountable impact on the hip-hop community and larger music industry over the last two decades. Most recently, he released the mixtape No Ceilings 3 in November 2020 and his 13^th full-length album Funeral in January 2020. Funeral debuted at the #1 spot on the US Billboard Top 200 albums chart. He is currently working on his next album I Am Not A Human Being III, which will be released later this year.

A pioneer of the mixtape and southern hip-hop in the 90s, Wayne released his debut solo studio album, The Block Is Hot in 1999. He followed the project with an extensive discography including two consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, with 2008’s triple-platinum three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning opus Tha Carter III and its double-platinum 2011 successor Tha Carter IV. In 2018, he released Tha Carter V, which reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 and broke the record for the second-largest streaming week for an album. Every song on Tha Carter V charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Wayne was also the first male artist to surpass Elvis Presley with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100, logging a staggering 109 hits.

In total, Wayne has sold over 120 million records worldwide. He has won five GRAMMY Awards, 11 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards among many others.

Additionally, Wayne owns and operates Young Money Entertainment as CEO. The company ignited the careers of blockbuster artists Drake and Nicki Minaj. An active philanthropist, Wayne also founded The One Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization which empowers underserved youth by providing them with access to opportunities to develop their talents.

Wayne continues to be represented by his longtime partner Mack Maine and attorney Kenneth Meiselas. He is signed to Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records.
