Americans Confess That They Want More Diversity in the Golden Globes [Survey]

This just in from USDish regarding the Golden Globes Awards…looks like the people have spoken and made a difference in the organization’s outlook on its way of doing things. Check the official line on the survey conducted by USDish below:

NBC has canceled the 2022 Golden Globes due to concerns about the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and lack of diversity in their board members.

It’s not just movie stars that have concerns with the organization; 41% of Americans think that the award show is too political, and 21% wish for more diversity.

The team at USDish conducted a survey that gave them an exclusive insight into what Americans are thinking when it comes to the Golden Globes. See the full report here.

When they asked which awarding body people trusted the most, Golden Globes came in second with 21%—which makes them think that if the HFPA does their reformation correctly, it could mean they can one day regain their viewership.

But movie nominations might not hold as much clout as they once did. When it comes to deciding what to watch, 32% of Americans trust review scores over movie nominations.
