Jamie Chung On Petco’s “Together Strong” Campaign, Future Projects, K-Pop, BTS & More

Nearly everyone has been touched by cancer in one way or another. You may not think it could happen to your beloved furry friend, but pet cancer is more common than most know. Petco’s pet cancer awareness campaign called “Together Strong” brings 2 and 4-legged survivors together to highlight how routine preventative care is just as vital for pets as it is for humans in the fight against this disease. Jamie Chung is not only an in-demand actress, but also a dog mom and big supporter of Petco’s aforementioned “Together Strong” campaign; more on her prior work with Petco is below.

Jamie Chung first notable acting credits were a decade and a half ago. Recently she starred in 2 seasons of The Gifted, as based on Marvel Comics’ X-Men properties, as the mutant “Blink.” She was also seen in the AIDS drama 1985, based on Yen Tan’s short of the same name, which premiered at SXSW. Chung also reprised her role voicing “GoGo Tomango” in Big Hero 6: The Series and was seen in HBO’s Lovecraft Country as Korean nurse “Ji-Ah.” Chung is also the creator of WhatTheChung.com.

On May 18, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jamie Chung via Zoom, as embedded below. Besides Petco’s “Together Strong” campaign, we discussed when she first felt successful as an actress, future career plans, her fashion blo and K-Pop. More on Chung is here, here, here and here.
