Mega-Producer Vinylz Signs Global Publishing Agreement With Warner Chappell Music

Warner Chappell Music, the global publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has entered into a worldwide publishing agreement with multi-platinum record producer Vinylz. He’s become the go-to producer for a long list of top artists, working with Drake, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Travis Scott, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, and Chris Brown, among others. Most recently, Vinylz co-produced two songs on Justin Bieber’s surprise EP Freedom – “Freedom” ft. Beam and “All She Wrote” ft. Brandon Love and Chandler Moore – in addition to working on pop singer/songwriter Starrah’s debut album, The Longest Interlude.

Warner Chappell Music Senior Vice President of A&R, Rich Christina, said: “I couldn’t be happier to be reunited with Vinylz. We’ve had a great, longstanding successful relationship spanning many years. His production is truly special and standout. He expertly blends old and new styles, marrying ‘90s rap beats with contemporary R&B. We’re really looking forward to working with him across all genres in this next chapter at Warner Chappell.”

Warner Chappell Music President of A&R, U.S., Ryan Press, added: “Vinylz has become one of the most in-demand producers to come out of the New York rap scene. His beats are everywhere and have helped to define the sound of many of today’s biggest stars. I’m so impressed with his work ethic and couldn’t be prouder to welcome him to Warner Chappell.”

Vinylz shared: “I’m really excited to join the Warner Chappell family and am looking forward to the next chapter of my career. There’s a lot of amazing music on the way that I’ve been focused on and I’m grateful for the team for believing in my vision.”

Anderson Hernandez, known as Vinylz – which was inspired by his love of sampling and his father’s vinyl record collection – is an American record producer from Washington Heights, New York City. Early in his career, Vinylz joined Quad Studios and started working with breakout acts like Drag-On and Cassidy, where he met his mentor Boi-1da and eventually went on to produce for Drake and the OVO crew. In 2013, Vinylz co-produced Jay-Z’s “FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt” ft. Rick Ross, along with DJ Khaled’s RIAA-certified gold hit “No New Friends” ft. Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Over the next few years, Vinylz contributed to multiple popular tracks, including Jeremih’s “Planez” ft. J. Cole, Cardi B’s “Be Careful,” J. Cole’s “Deja Vu,” Drake’s “Fake Love,” and Travis Scott and Quavo’s “GO,” to name a few.

Throughout his career, Vinylz has been part of a number of Grammy-Award winning albums, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s EVERYTHING IS LOVE, which took home Best Urban Contemporary Album; and Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, which was awarded Best Rap Album and recently became the first album by a female rapper to spend three full years on the Billboard 200. He’s also worked on Grammy-nominated projects for J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Rihanna’s Anti, Justin Bieber’s Changes, and Chloe x Halle’s Ungodly Hour. In 2019, Vinylz produced the RIAA platinum-certified and Grammy-nominated song “No Guidance” by Chris Brown and Drake.
