5th Annual Culture Creators Brunch Honors Swizz Beatz, D-Nice, Baron Davis and More

The Culture Creators 5th Annual Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch paid respects to the great movers and shakers in Black culture on Saturday, June 26. Among those honored were Swizz Beatz, D-Nice, Zerina Akers, Baron Davis, Rikki Hughes, George Wells, Cari Champion, Shanti Das, Stephanie Brown-James, JaVale McGhee and Kudzi Chikumbu.

Sponsored by Youtube, Proctor and Gamble, Cloud Coin, Ciroc and Lexus, the trailblazing event acknowledges the contributions of culture creators across various disciplines of entertainment, sports, finance, social change and more.

Media and industry guests who gathered to pay tribute and network were treated to a fine selection of craft cocktails provided by Ciroc and Deleon Tequila, a seated brunch prepared by the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and gift bags that included Culture Creators T-Shirts and Youtube branded podcast microphones.

Founded in 2016 by Joi Brown, SVP, Marketing and Brand Partnerships of Atlantic Records, Culture Creators is an organization that connects cultural pioneers with the new creators of culture via thought leadership, education, and ideation across passion points to ensure substantive influence and growth. The organization was also created to spotlight and amplify the contributions of individuals who have shaped the global view of Black culture by providing a platform that engages and celebrates their accomplishments.

In addition to panel discussions, HBCU summits, networking sessions, and workshops, Culture Creators has become the think-tank, talent incubator, and hub for innovators, creatives, and intellectuals who work to diversify various industries. Its annual events include the Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch and C2 Summit, to name a few.
