‘Life Works in Mysterious Ways,’ a Look into CEESAR’s Life

People who change their careers are often labeled as ‘confused individuals with no set aims.’ They are looked upon with annoyance and do not receive any form of appreciation or acknowledgment – until they succeed. People fail to realize that the world they live in is constantly evolving, and with it, mindsets, personalities, and human nature are also changing. Fighting these evolutions and changes is to fight nature. Not embracing the ‘change’ is one of the biggest mistakes a person can make. While the world looks down upon individuals who change careers after spending years in a field, it is blinded to see these people’s courage, resilience, and braveness. Not many people have the strength to leave behind a career they spent years building. There are only a handful of individuals who have the ability to look beyond the common possibilities. Changing careers is not easy, but a person meant for a certain world will always find their way into it because life works in mysterious ways to make a person come face-to-face with their true path.

Among the many stories that can inspire people to take the plunge and shift their careers, there is one that has not received the limelight it deserves. CEESAR, the voice behind the tracks “About You,” “Day 2 Day,” “I Need You,” among others, has lived this story. The world recognizes this Ottawa-born artist as the man behind Hustle & Passion, but no one really knows how he found his way into music. It is true that life always finds a way to make people meet their true calling, and CEESAR is the perfect example.

Starting as an Entrepreneur, Finding Way into Music

CEESAR, born Nelson Silva, was running his business, a retail store selling sports supplements. The store was stable, providing him a comfortable life. Despite the stability in his life, there was restlessness within him. Even though he was working on his business After completing his Bachelor’s in Arts from Carleton University, it just did not make him ‘internally’ satisfied. This is a tactic through which life pushes one to discover their true potential and discover their individuality and purpose.

The restless that Nelson was living with only grew, and it finally led him to decide to leave behind his business. While love for music was already brewing in his heart, it was after he listened to “White Iverson” by Post Malone that he stopped thinking and took action. The song triggered in him a passion that he did not know existed. Even though music was something that brought him comfort, he never thought of turning it into a career.

After Nelson was hit with this realization, he did not waste his time thinking about the stereotypical society. It was his life, and only he could decide how he would spend it. Without giving his decision much thought, Nelson enrolled in vocal training in February 2019. It was a new experience for him, but it made things much clear for him. It took away all his doubts that were embedded in the back of his mind. Changing his field, that too, a completely different one, was not a small deal, and he was well-aware of it. Nelson’s life turned into a competition between his heart and mind. While his heart asked him to follow his passion and love for music, his mind kept adding fear. He moved forward with his decision by perfectly maintaining the balance between his heart and mind. Nelson was enrolled in vocal training while running his business.

As the days passed by and he became better in his craft, he decided it was time to present himself to the world. This was when he started working on his first single, “Day 2 Day.” He released his single under the name CEESAR. This was the beginning of his long journey into the world of music. He was now on his way to becoming a top singer by creating unique yet powerful and impactful music. His single was followed by “About You,” finally leading him to his debut EP, “Hustle & Passion.” CEESAR’s singles, along with this six-track debut album, established him as a strong entity in the music world.

Even though CEESAR is new in music, he has felt a deep connection with this artistic form of expression for a long time. CEESAR, who started as an entrepreneur, is now a rising music star. His determination indicates that he is in for the long haul. His tracks and debut album are proof. People always find a way to their life’s purpose, just like CEESAR, whose passion lied in music, and he was not even aware of it. His life is surely an inspiration for all those struggling to switch their careers or discover their strengths by walking on new and unknown paths! CEESAR not only did it but also succeeded in it because life, indeed, works in mysterious ways.
