The Remarkable Journey Of Chicago’s Artist In Building A Successful Music Career
One of Chicago’s leading artists from the label Go Gitta Records, Headline is a rapper and a songwriter whose music has received tons of applause and appreciation from the masses. His brand “Headline” networks with other artists and producers and makes amazing music that impacts lives.
His Early Life
Headline hails from Englewood, Marquette Park area. He was raised at his grandmother’s house and was brought up with care and overprotection due to his health condition. Having suffered from sickle cell anemia, he would fall sick very often and couldn’t enjoy what kids his age would do.
From a young age, he was inspired by music from Bow Wow, Sammie, Mario that he would listen to from his grandmother’s sound system. He was always hanging out with older guys where he was first introduced to fruity loops 5 sometime around 2007, an interface that is used to produce music with a pattern-based music sequencer.
Gradually, he started making beats with his friends and started learning about the structure of 16 bars or 8 bars. That’s also when he started writing songs and freestyles. After being told by a friend’s elder brother that he could become a rapper, Headline began moving in this direction until he got the chance to get his song recorded by 147 Calboy’s father in 2009, which was his major breakthrough in music.
His Inspiration And Music Goals
Headline has always loved listening to Motown cd’s that actually made him fall in love with music and inspired him to create music. He was always told that he sounds like a mixture of Andree 3000 & Too Short. After finding some success and recognition with the music he produced, Headline started picking up pace equal to his competitions like Jay Z aiming to reach his level.
Headline has enjoyed the songwriting and recording process so much that he built a business out of his passion. His brand has a family feel wherein he just loves to network with fellow artists, producers and engineers, and deliver the finest music to his music community.
He considers his music goals as his life goals as it is very rewarding, both financially and personally. He wishes to reach even greater heights with his work so he could leave a legacy behind for his children and contribute for the good of humanity.
Headline has been mastering his craft for a decade now with his witty, raw and bossed up vibes. A huge portion of his label Go Gitta Records’ net revenue will go to charities and trusts that fight hunger, climate change, homelessness, and to building a sustainable economy.
Headline’s music is different from the others in the market as he doesn’t stream his music just anywhere. His music is only released through mediums such as Facebook or his website. His music ignites souls and motivates listeners to achieve bigger things in life such as starting a business or start investing. It is mainly based on real things that someone may want for life and get inspired to take action for.
