Talk about the moment you were inspired to be an artist?

Angel Sent: There were, and still are, many different moments of inspiration. I was born into a musical family. While going through my hardest times, music is what helped me throughout my journey. I always love to sing, and I put it in my music. Music is my life.

With most music feeling like Blues, R&B and Soul. How would you describe your style?

Angel Sent: I would describe my music style as a mixture of blues neo-soul with a twist of jazz trap, pop, and hip hop. It is very diverse

Who would you say are some of your biggest musical influences and why?

Angel Sent: Some of my biggest musical influences as far as females would be Anita Baker, Jill Scott, and more recently Snoh Alegra; I can listen to these ladies all day. As far as Male artists, my favorites are JOE, Brian McKnight, and Musiq Soulchild. I love all their music.

What are your thoughts on the music industry in 2021?

Angel Sent: I think that the music now in 2021 has taken flight. There is so much talent out there, and the music industry is changing drastically. It’s easier now to get your music out there to be heard. I kind of miss the CD days, though. They were more personable with the inserts when you opened the case, and it had the artist’s bio and lyrics to the songs.

What is your intent with respect to the music you are sharing with the world?

Angel Sent: My intent is to share my gift and talent with the world to reach souls, minds and inspire those that will listen and enjoy my music

What has been your most rewarding accomplishment as a singer?

Angel Sent: One of my most rewarding accomplishments as a singer was when my blues album hit the charts and played on the radio everywhere. I went on tour and while on stage the people knew my music. One other is when I had the opportunity to open for Keith Sweat at a concert in Augusta, GA. It was about 2,000 people and just me on the stage. To capture the attention of so many people is an amazing experience.

Talk about your latest project as an artist. What inspired it, and who produced it?

Angel Sent: Right now, I am working on an EP, and I also have a new single dropping in August. My inspiration for this project comes from the situations I have encountered over the years, and I want to share my story through song. I also have an amazing team that believes and pushes me to go forth with my music career. My producer, Gregory Lance of New Sounds Production, is amazing, and it’s like magic when we’re in the studio. Working with him has brought out the best in me.

What is next for you?

Angel Sent: Currently, I’m a host of a new talk show called ‘Ustalk in Atlanta’. I am also featuring in a new movie and a few up-and-coming short films while continuing my music career.

How do you want to use your platform to inspire people?
