Romail Gulzar, Supporting People Magnify Their Strengths

When the world begins to doubt an individual, they tend to feel pressured, which ultimately weakens them. The most important aspect is feeling strong and powerful even in turmoil. Romail Gulzar, a journalist with multiple awards under his name, has consistently supported others and worked diligently to highlight issues that pertain significance to the masses. Gulzar aims to unify individuals and celebrate diversity with his work. He has been in the industry for the last 20 years and has made it his mission to build local communities by magnifying their strengths. When there is a chance of navigating resources towards a noble cause, then it should be utilized fully. Gulzar has used his platform, such as the Pukaar Group, to benefit others, build unity and celebrate diversity.

Gulzar has given voice to the unheard by using his strength as a journalist to bring about social change and monitor those in power closely. Gulzar is a gifted journalist, passionate about highlighting current issues with the zest to build momentum. Gulzar has studied Film Journalism at the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) in India. Soon after, Gulzar moved to the UK in 2000, where he obtained an HND in Television and Journalism from South Leicestershire College. In 2012, Gulzar got an opportunity for work experience as a video journalist in ITV. Gulzar learned throughout his career that when individuals consume and learn new information, their intention should be to make others aware. Gulzar has done that with vigor and enthusiasm to enlighten the world and make them conscious of their surroundings.

Establishing Pukaar Group to serve the people

An individual should be curious and want to change their surroundings to utilize their knowledge by being inquisitive. By providing an outlet to individuals through various events held by the Pukaar Group, Gulzar has taken the responsibility to initiate social change with the intention to serve members of the public. Gulzar currently resides in the UK and has created Pukaar Group, which advocates diversity as he is a person of color and is proud of his roots. Pukaar Group is a media company that works globally to provide quick and efficient ways for people to access news and information. Pukaar Group offers various products and services to a customer base that ranges from local businesses to international corporate brands. With Pukaar News and Pukaar Magazine, Gulzar has branched out by being innovative and applying unique approaches to his news stories.

Pukaar News has distributed stories to international mainstream broadcasters such as BBC and ITV and was nominated in the Best Local Newspaper category at the Asian Media Awards. Pukaar Magazine is a print publication distributed every quarter to 5000 businesses and leisure venues around Leicester and Leicestershire. With headquarters in Leicester, the magazine has featured personalities on its cover from sports and the entertainment industry who are linked to Leicester and have a local background. Sir David Attenborough, a highly-esteemed broadcaster for the last six decades, was featured on the cover of Pukaar Magazine. The magazine covers Culture, Travel, News, Fashion, and Sport and is read by working professionals who are part of the local community.

A voice for the underprivileged

Gulzar has been working unwaveringly to highlight concerns in the local community. By pointing out the issues of the underprivileged, Gulzar has received the Nationwide Award for Voluntary Endeavour and an Outstanding Contribution Award for Community Work in Leicester. Gulzar has been appointed Chair of the independent charity Crimestoppers for Leicester and Rutland as he spent a decade trying to reduce the crime rate locally. Gulzar wants to work on issues faced by the residents as they work on their livelihood.

With the success of Pukaar Group’s media brands, Gulzar founded Leicester’s premier talent competition, Leicester’s Got Talent, a platform that encourages and celebrates gifted local youth. The competition is in its eighth year, and the previous winners have further achieved success in their future endeavors. Most recently, Gulzar has extended the services offered by Pukaar Group and now offers a range of media and IT support, including commercial video production, website, and app development, outdoor advertising, public relations, and copywriting to its customers. Gulzar feels deeply towards shedding light on those individuals who have made a mark on the world. By putting the limelight on famous personalities, Gulzar wants the young generation to gather inspiration and make a name for themselves.

Being selfless

When individuals commence their careers, they must have the intention to build credibility and have high moral ground. Individuals need to be honest with their work, make a pact to serve others, and keep questioning the power dynamics of their surroundings. With the COVID-19 pandemic consistently leaving an impact worldwide, Gulzar launched the national Always in our Thoughts campaign to distinguish and remember all those people who the deadly virus had impacted. Gulzar, without thinking of his well-being, has consistently done work that serves humanity. With more and more opportunities coming his way, Gulzar has selflessly stayed close to his aim to raise his voice for all those in need.

People who are helpless need all the care they can get, and Gulzar has been clear about his vision of working in diversity, community, and charity. To push boundaries and break constraints, an individual must imagine achieving beyond their capabilities. When the world begins to doubt an individual’s abilities, they must tackle their fears and face everyone with the spirit to win and achieve. Gulzar has excelled impeccably in his career and shown his surroundings that dreams can be attained if a person has the will to do so. A person must have a motive and a cause that they feel passionate about until they see results. Gulzar has used his power to support people and magnify their strengths, yet sometimes individuals feel uncertain, and Gulzar aims to change that perspective. There might be moments when individuals feel dull, yet the aim should be to begin again after each failure or mistake. Gulzar has been consistent and provides opportunities to individuals who want to grow, prosper and flourish.
