Marc LaFrance On His New Music, Singing Background Vocals For Some Of Rock’s Top Artists & More

Marc LaFrance has been involved in the music industry for over 4 decades and has been a well-known and highly-regarded industry professional for decades. He has performed as a drummer and singer on over 100 albums, including contributions to recordings by Loverboy, Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Cher, Carly Simon, Blue Murder, The Cult, David Lee Roth, Scorpions, and Poison. He has also been part of countless commercials and advertising campaigns. In other words, you have heard Marc LaFrance sing plenty of times, even if his name is not immediately familiar to you.

Delinquent Records was formed by Marc LaFrance in 1994 for the release of his first solo album Out Of Nowhere, as produced by Paul Dean of Loverboy. For his Kidsongz project, he wrote and produced over 100 tracks for Scholastic Books, one of the largest book publishers in North America. Recording aside, LaFrance was the Music Supervisor for the animation project called Cackleberries. These days, LaFrance performs with Randy Bachman, Bachman & Turner, his own band Cease & Desist, and the tribute act Atlantic Crossing. He has released new music in 2021; 2 new songs are embedded below.

On November 18, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Marc LaFrance via Zoom, as also embedded below. More on LaFrance can be found by clicking here, here, here and here.
