Grammy-Nominated Murda Beatz Inks Global Distribution Deal with ADA Worldwide, Drops New Single ‘One Shot’ Feat. Blxst and Wale

Grammy-nominated producer and artist Murda Beatz has inked a global distribution deal with ADA Worldwide, the independent label and artist services arm of Warner Music Group. Murda Beatz’s first single within the new agreement – “One Shot” – debuted today, featuring 2021 XXL Freshman Blxst and multi-Platinum rapper Wale and accompanied by a music video directed by madebyJames (Snoop Dogg, Big Sean).

Murda Beatz said: “I’m really excited to start the year off with this record featuring Blxst and Wale. It all came together in Miami when we were all in the studio. I’m going to be dropping a lot with my new distribution partner ADA so I’m looking forward to giving my fans some new music this year!”

Cat Kreidich, President, ADA Worldwide said: “Murda is one of today’s most sought-after producers, and he’s one of those rare hybrid artists who can make magic in the studio for the industry’s biggest acts while also earning a name for himself, in his own right. He’s exactly the sort of passionate and massively talented artist that ADA is proud to partner with, and I’m thrilled to welcome him to the family.”

Born Shane Lee Lindstrom, from Fort Erie, Ontario, Murda Beatz has worked on over 40 Platinum and multi-Platinum singles, over 25 Billboard No. 1 albums, and has over 11 billion streams on songs he’s been involved with. Just last year he produced Chlöe’s “Have Mercy” which went No. 1 at Rhythmic and Urban Radio, Polo G’s “Rap Star” which went No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts including the Hot 100 and at Rhythmic Radio, and he made XXL’s “Best Hip Hop Producers of 2021” list. Other top artists he’s worked with include, Migos, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B, among others. Murda has also had huge DJ moments with packing out the Sahara Tent at Coachella, G-Eazy’s Endless Summer Tour, A$AP Ferg’s Floorseats Tour, Toronto’s Veld Fest, and Australia’s Festival X.

2022 is already lining up to be another big year for Murda Beatz, having recently launched his very own NFT on crypto.com that sold out in 14 minutes, making him a top 5 creator on the site. In addition to that and the Psychedelic Water company he recently co-founded, Murda has renewed his Las Vegas residency with Tao Group, and his business also expands to a figurine collaboration with KidRobot, making him a multi-hyphenate. Murda is also nominated for a 2022 Grammy for Best Pop/Vocal Album with production on Ariana Grande’s Positions.

ABOUT MURDA BEATZ:

Following the success of the last few years, which saw him produce Drake’s record-breaking “Nice For What,” which went No. 1 on Billboard for 4 weeks straight, Migos’ 3x Platinum super track “Motorsport” with Nicki Minaj & Cardi B, and most recently “Rap Star” by Polo G which went No. 1 on Billboard, the self-taught Grammy-nominated Canadian prodigy Murda Beatz has taken hip-hop by storm. His resume includes production credits on eight Grammy-nominated albums (six in one year) and over 25Billboard No. 1 albums. At 16, Murda was drawn to Chicago’s drill scene and reached out to Glory Boys Entertainment, home of Chief Keef and Lil Durk, just as that wave was breaking. He began sending them beats and would eventually travel to Chicago to work with this crew that was changing the sound of music. Before long he was locking in with Migos on records that would shape pop culture, with credits on “Emmitt Smith” and “Pipe it Up” which helped spark a worldwide dance craze. Alongside his work with chart-topping artists, Murda has released three solo projects – 2016’s Keep God First, 2018’s Bless Yo Trap with Smokepurpp, and 2021’s Memory Lane with Shordie Shordie. He is growing his brand exponentially into sectors such as DJing, NFTs, gaming, and other investments like the mood boosting Psychedelic Water and a collaboration with KidRobot. Murda has been featured in publications from The New York Times, Variety, Newsweek, and Forbes to Highsnobiety, Entertainment Weekly, Paper Magazine, Schön Magazine and many more. Defying the naysayers, Murda has become one of the most dynamic creative forces in popular music today and is primed to continue his winning-streak this year and far beyond.
