Sevyn Streeter joined V-103 (Atlanta) Kenny Burns Show to talk about the release of the deluxe version of her album Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz and a few other things!!!

We would not exist if we didn’t stand on the shoulders of giants…Like Alexander O’Neal for ‘Taboo’. I grew up listening to all that music. Shoutout to my parents for listening to the most amazing music in our house.”

[3:34] — Getting into her feelings on the record. “Unfortunately, I’m a Cancer, so I feel everything. It’s a double-edged sword. That’s my superpower. I like to take my life experiences and throw them into records. ‘Taboo’ is a lesson I had to learn myself. It’s basically saying, a lot of times when you get into situations, we may trip up and mess things up before they have the opportunity to grow into something beautiful.”
