Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer ZACH TABORI just debuted his brand new single BLUE CHECK BLUES, via Flesh Fury. This 40’s big band-inspired track speaks to the woes of not having a blue “verified” check on Instagram, a problem that many folks in cities like LA and NYC would consider to be quite substantial…unfortunately.
Written and produced solely by Tabori, the cheeky single features a synth-brass horn section, accompanied by astute lyrics about clout chasing and dating in a world where social media status is the highest form of social currency.
“It’s all about people who are under the ‘influence,’ if you know what I mean” states Tabori.
Blue Check Blues includes relevant lyrics about dating/clout including “stranded here in a gilded cage, where verification is all the rage” to ” spent all my money on Hypebeast shit, but there ain’t no blue check coming with it” and getting turned down by a girl who says “I ain’t trying to get down and play your game because you ain’t got a blue check by your name”.
