“Creation Stories” Star Ewen Bremner On Playing Alan McGee, Music, Future Projects & More

Creation Stories is the true story of Alan McGee. “Who is Alan McGee?” Simply put, a man from a relatively-impoverished upbringing, who — against all odds — built a record label from nothing, which yielded the world’s biggest rock band of the 1990s, Oasis. And along the way there was bankruptcy, heartache, mental breakdowns, dinners with world leaders like Tony Blair and Bill Clinton, treachery, treason, drugs, sex, anarchy, and lots of money. Creation Stories tells McGee’s story in depth for the first time, including his time managing The Jesus & Mary Chain and working with My Bloody Valentine.

As directed by Nick Moran, Creation Stories premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. It will be streaming on AMC+ and available via all key on-demand and digital outlets this Friday, February 25, 2022. Film star Ewen Bremner first made waves internationally as Spud in the film adaptation of Trainspotting. This would lead to plenty of major film roles, including appearances in Snatch, Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, Alien Vs. Predator, Great Expectations, Snowpiercer and Wonder Woman. Film aside, Brember has also worked extensively within television, including main roles on Will and the upcoming HBO Max series Our Flag Means Death; Our Flag Means Death was helmed by Taika Waititi.

On February 17, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Ewen Brember via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Bremner and Creation Stories can be found by clicking here, here, here and here.
