0“Dollface” Creator Jordan Weiss & Showrunner Michelle Nader On The Show’s Hulu Return Feb. 11
Popular Hulu series Dollface kicks off with lead character Jules (played 2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings) being dumped by her longtime boyfriend. As a result of this unforeseen scenario, Jules must deal with her own imagination to literally and metaphorically reenter the world of women and rekindle the female friendships she left behind. The series was created by Jordan Weiss, who serves as an executive producer alongside showrunner Michelle Nader, Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara for LuckyChap Entertainment; Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan for Clubhouse Pictures, series lead Kat Dennings and Nicole King also produce Dollface along with ABC Signature.
Season 2 of Dollface follows Jules and her best friends — played by Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell and Esther Povitsky — post-pandemic, post-heartbreak, heading toward turning 30. Having successfully reunited with her friends, Jules must now balance keeping their group together as the women continue to navigate work, love and a deeper relationship with each of themselves. Ultimately, Dollface is a heart-felt comedy which takes a modern look at what life is often like for single, career-minded, Los Angeles-based ladies. All 10 episodes are set to premiere via Hulu on February 11, 2022.
On January 25, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jordan Weiss and Michelle Nader via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Dollface and its producers can be found here, here and here.
