Introducing Midnight Studios by Shane Gonzales – Season 0
This Spring/Summer 2022, titled “Welcome to the Machine,” by Shane Gonzales sets the tone for the brand’s rebirth, referencing a young man coming face to face with the fashion industry, represented here as the “machine”.
“At the beginning of my career, I gave myself over to the fashion industry. The pandemic allowed me to take a step back and focus on my artistic views and the integrity of the brand. Over the last two years, I was able to create the collection I’ve always imagined, without sacrificing my ideas and visions. This is the Midnight Studios I always intended for the world to see,” said Shane Gonzales, Creative Director of Midnight Studios by Shane Gonzales.
Reintroducing the brand, Gonzales establishes key themes and silhouettes that will become staples for seasons to come. Standout pieces from the collection include classic suiting with custom beading detail, velour tracksuits with leather piping, and matching denim sets with Western details. A faux fur colorblock coat compliments the pearl button detailing seen across the faux mohair sweaters and knit tank tops. Rounding out the collection are t-shirts and tank tops with signature collection motifs, including a sheer, box cut tank boldly reading the collection name.
Launching an accessories vertical with this collection, Gonzales introduces the Brooklyn box trunk bag, inspired by the boomboxes of the ‘90s. Releasing in three sizes, the bag will be available in black and brown genuine leather, with fully functional pockets on the front of each case. Rounding out the collection is an assortment of hats, including baseball hats and bucket hats with the Midnight Studios logo throughout.
