Jayne of June Brings Her Journal Entries to Life in Debut EP ‘Meraki’

Adelaide born and raised singer-songwriter Jayne of June (Katina Rennie) grew up surrounded by musical opportunities. Her parents nurtured her talent throughout her life into her now late-twenties, where after a long time of writing and working on her craft, she’s ready to share the stories from her notebook.
After experiencing heartache in early 2020, Jayne of June utilised the restrictions of the worldwide pandemic to focus her energy into something that would help her navigate her emotions and dig deeper into her life’s purpose. Her ongoing journey through self-love, reconnection and reflection has allowed her to write stories from real life experiences, hoping to connect with people and help them feel empowered and inspired to love who they are.
Meraki [may-rah-kee] – to do something with soul, creativity, or love, when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be. Jayne of June’s debut EP is exactly this, with every melody and lyric written by hers truly, working with producers Israel Amoy and Benjamin McCarthy to bring her songs to life. Meraki is an authentic, vulnerable, and relatable record that embraces the emotions from heartache, navigates the journey of self-love in a new life, and celebrates finding strength and fulfillment just by being who you are.
Ready to make her entry statement into the Australian Music scene, her debut live show “Less Bitter, More Glitter” at Adelaide’s Nineteen Ten Rooftop Bar, features as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival on the 18th and 25th of February 2022, which will showcase her brand-new EP and allow you to enter her world how she sees it.
