Meet The Creator: HeyImDam (Dam) Talks On Success & Challenges

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thanks for asking, I got to where I am today by pushing through people telling me I cannot do what I enjoy doing. No matter the support I always stay consistent, even when videos are not doing well you have to keep making content and posting. Success comes from consistency and good content that people will be interested in, they work hand and hand to push your videos to the audience.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Challenges? Well I had a few challenges of course, in the past I got into a lot of drama cause of some wrongdoings I did as a teenager. It used to kill my mental health hearing people tell me to quit or stop doing what I enjoy just because of past mistakes I made. Everyone has to learn and grow from things they do in their past life. You can’t succeed without facing challenges because learning is a big step in everyone’s life life, regardless if you are a content creator or not.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I specialize in consistency. I aim to stay consistent in anything I do currently and moving forward. In terms of working with me over any competition I strive to be the best partner I can be and be helpful to anyone on a Team or Group I am apart of. I always help out my friends when they need it so I’d like to say that’s a pretty good quality to have.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

In terms of finding your own success the first step is to make sure you are doing what you enjoy. Anyone looking to pursue any type of career in content creation or in real life should be doing it for the right reasons. If you want to be a YouTuber for the money and not cause you just enjoy doing it then you shouldn’t be a YouTuber. In the world we live in today, no matter what you enjoy doing you can find a way to make it a career for yourself if you put your mind to it. I’m a strong believer in stay happy over aiming to be rich.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

If I had to put it simply, Success is happiness. If you are happy then I would consider you successful by all means. There are people who define success as wealth and if that makes you happy then that is success to you too, but you don’t have to be wealthy to be happy by any means.

What’s next for you?

In the next year, I just plan to stay consistent and continue growing my platforms regardless of what people say about me. I’ll never let people tell me what to do in my life because I am my own creator, I am my own person at the end of the day. I also plan to start streaming at some point in the near future as I find streaming to be the next step in my content creation journey.
