“PEN15” Stars Maya Erskine & Anna Konkle On Working With AHA, Future Projects, NYU & More

In May 2021, AHA Sparkling Water — Coca-Cola’s first new brand in over a decade — launched its first-ever ad campaign “Can I Get an AHA?” featuring actors and comedians Lauren Lapkus and Colton Dunn. In turn, AHA Sparkling Water disrupted the sparkling water category with bold flavor combinations, enlivening sensory experiences, and first-to-market caffeinated options last year. The content lived online, on social media and via major streaming services such as Discovery, Viacom CBS, Warner Media, Amazon Fire, Youtube, Hulu, Tubi and Roku as a part of a multi-month campaign.

AHA’s newest campaign features PEN15 stars and creators Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle, Jenny Slate and Ben Schwartz. On April 13, 2022, I had the pleasure of interviewing Erskine and Konkle via Zoom, as embedded below; The Hype previously spoke with Schwartz, most recently as part of a junket for Apple TV+ series The Afterparty. Beyond AHA, Erskine and Konkle opened up about future projects, motherhood, their studies at New York University, and Erskine’s drummer-father Peter.

More on AHA, Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle can be found online by clicking here, here and here, while one of the (funny) 2022 AHA spots featuring Erskine and Konkle can be found below.
