Bronx’s Word Life Storms The Streets In New Visual “Get That”

Emerging Bronx recording artist Word Life disrupts the peach in the streets with his undeniable swag in the new music video called “Get That.” In the Gambino-directed visual, the charismatic and wise-cracking lyricist storms the streets in designer fabric with an arsenal of bling, rapping about his relentless hustler’s mentality. Gambino’s vision mixed with Word Life’s flavor makes for a must-see as he is an artist-to-watch of 2022 Hip Hop, and the perfect origin point for any newfound fan.

“One my mottos always been grind til we get that,” said Word Life on the song’s originality. “So was at KFI studio in Dallas I was with my producer, Name Brand, and engineer, Bud Beatz, working on a different record and when got done w that I had like 40 minutes in session left, so told’em play beats and that was first one he played so went into booth and grind til I get that came to head so I just laid it down off the head in like 30 minutes [laughs]. Once I heard couple mixes on it. I already knew I was gonna take back home NY to shoot video. My boy in Brooklyn shot couple videos with Gambino so I figured he match the style i needed for this particular record.”

Now residing in Dallas, Texas, the independent artist has amassed a following with his influence, hustle and creativity. Self-proclaimed as one of the realest and hardworking alive, Word Life’s moniker stems from his traits of loyalty and the importance of always keeping his word. He first captured fame with the release of his breakout song “Follow My Drip” that appeared on Shade 45.

“Get That” is the first official release from Word Life and prepares fans for the fast-rising star’s forthcoming debut project, slated for late 2022 on King of All Fresh. For newfound fans, “Get That” is the perfect origin point to hope on the Word Life bandwagon.
