Las Vegas Black Film Festival Celebrates 10th Year with International Films

The 10th Annual Las Vegas Black Film Festival (LVBFF) is set to take place from April 20-23, 2023, at the Entertainment Capital of the World. Founded and directed by Michelle, the festival has become an award-winning state-proclaimed event that celebrates the works of Black Filmmakers from around the world.
With overwhelming positive feedback from independent filmmakers, film actors, and film lovers from diverse ethnic backgrounds across the nation, the festival is proud to announce that it now welcomes international films from all over the world.

More than 2,000 moviegoers, filmmakers, and entertainment professionals are expected to attend the festival, seeking rising stars. The festival has honored famous personalities like Antonio Fargas, Louis Gossett Jr., Irma P. Hall, Loretta Devine, and John Amos.

All filmmakers whose works are selected for the festival will qualify for a distribution deal, cash prizes, and awards. Awards and prizes will be given in categories like Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor & Actress in a Feature Film, Best Actor & Actress in a Short Film, and Best Student Film.

The festival will also host interactive and educational seminars, along with competitions for Best Comedy Film, Best Religious Film, Best Horror Film, Best Animated, Best Narrative, Best Social Awareness, Best Debut Film, Best Music Video, Best Web Series, Best Cast Ensemble, Best Edited, Best Sound, Best Music Score, Best Cinematography, and L.V.B.F.F. PRODUCER of the YEAR Award.

“All filmmakers, film actors, and film lovers are welcome,” says the founder, Michelle. “While the festival is primarily designed to celebrate the works of Black Filmmakers, all filmmakers are welcomed and celebrated.”
