Recap VEECON 2023: Gary Vaynerchuk’s Super Conference (Indiana)

What is Gary Vee’s ‘VeeCon’?

On May 18 – 20, The Hype Magazine was in attendance at the 2nd Annual VeeCon. VeeCon, created by American entrepreneur Gary Vee aka Gary Vaynerchuk, was held in Indianapolis, Indiana. It showcased over 100 speakers from around the world. Some of the speakers at the event were: Arianna Huffington, Baron Davis, Bobbi Brown, Bozoma St. John, Cesar Millan, Daymond John, Deepak Chopra, Drew Barrymore, Dr. Eric Thomas, Dr. Shefali, Guy Raz, Jesse Itzler, Jessica Alba, Neil Patrick Harris, Tim Tebow, Timbaland, Yung Gravy and many more.

Day 1 Recap

The day started by Gary Vee and his team inviting all the media to come to a private location, where Gary welcomed and thanked everyone for joining them for VeeCon. We then went to White River Park for field day. The event consisted of several activations that showcased all the different features of Veefriends. I really loved the human crane and the augmented reality station that showed you a look at what VeeFriends world looks like. Once the field day was completed, we then went to TCU Amphitheater and had the opportunity to watch Richie Evans, TiaCorine and Busta Rhymes perform live.

Day 2 Recap

Day 2 was held at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis. Once we arrived we went to the main stage and had the chance to watch Gary Vee, his Dad, and his brother “AJ” discuss all the major successes they have had. We then followed Gary back to the media area where he did one on one interviews with various media. We were able to meet many of the speakers for the day including Bozoma Saint John, Yung Gravy, and Ashlyn Harris. After all the speakers were done on the main stage, we went to the floor of Lucas Oil and participated in the Lids customization of VeeCon merchandise, and got to listen to talented artists perform for the opportunity to meet Gary Vee. We then went and checked out the VeeFriends museum which showed how Gary’s drawings turned into the characters. The night ended with the hilarious comedian Andrew Shultz putting on a masterclass on how to roast someone (Gary Vee).

Day 3 Recap

Day 3 was held at Lucas Oil Stadium. Once we arrived we spent time trying out all of the great activations at NFT Land and at Gary Garages. These two areas took up almost half of the concourse and showcased some of the best NFTS in the world and rare collectibles that in the right hands could be very expensive. We then went to watch several of the speakers. My personal favorite was Eric Thomas, Timberland, IllMind, Charlie Rocket and Damon John. The last speech of the night was from Gary himself, doing his famous “Ask Gary Vee” segment where fans of the conference got to send in questions he answered on the spot. The event ended with the beautiful and talented Jordan Sparks singing and all of the VeeCon attendees dancing and having a great time.
