Trust the Mask Channel Mother Earth in Transcendent Third Single “Our Fault”

Trust the Mask (aka Elisa Dal Bianco and Vittoria Cavedon) are back yet again with their third vibrant and intriguing single. ‘Our Fault’ is the fluorescent new addition to the triple threat, completing the three headed musical, mythical creature they’ve brought to life so far. The Italian based experimental electronic super duo arrived in an all encompassing, enigmatic, mask wearing whirlpool this 2023, engulfing all who dare to enter their gravitational vortex.

The electronic elements appear larger than life as steady drum patterns seamlessly compliment their ethereal vocals – the entire song feels like a trip to space.

Exuberant, effervescent and overflowing with gloriously undulating neon synth’s, this third track compliments both the distinctive, galactic alt pop ‘Will you come?’ and the glitch infused, futuristic cyber-pop single ‘Otaku’.

‘Our Fault’ offers a letter of apology to Mother Earth, taking responsibility for the damage caused by humans whilst also recognizing the importance of hope within the climate action movement. Taken from their upcoming debut album Idiom which represents an ethereal journey in the search for a universal language.

Yet another deep dive into their unique, utterly exquisite exploration of the electronic synth-sphere, they demonstrate an innate ability to blend cyber, glitch, wave and industrial styles into a new plane of existence. Alternative, yet flecked with pop and dance music sensibilities, each track is a living, breathing piece of sonic art, hanging suspended in Trust the Mask’s orbit.

The incredibly exciting and highly anticipated forthcoming full album project, Idiom is an attempt to communicate across ages, classes and personalities. Discussing what the new generations might be experiencing in the here and now and how reality could be; without any effort, free from territorial and ideological boundaries. Each piece is a snapshot of different places and cultures, which appear distant and unknown.

“Trust the Mask are seeking connection. Connection to the world amidst an increasingly fractured global environment. ‘Our Fault’ is a letter of apology to Mother Earth. Written during the lockdown, when it seemed pretty clear that Nature was sending us a terrible message after centuries of abuse. A song that began by experimenting with arpeggios on a vintage accordion to which analog synths, virtual pipe organs and layers of choral samples were added. It is again Vittoria’s amazing voice that guides the narrative as a conscience that reminds us of all the mistakes humanity has made.” –  TRUST THE MASK

With expression and symbolism carved into the core of their artistry, both the music and the imagery possessed by this curious duo work in symbiosis, cultivating a depth of connection and understanding between audience and artist which is extraordinarily rare and endlessly captivating.

Layered with experimentation and concise, creative chaos, Trust the Mask epitomize the allure of the alien and the avant-garde with perfect precision. Bold, unconventional and entirely otherworldly Idiom is set to invigorate the senses and spark the imagination on an astral level.
