Darryl along with other cast members, have already made tour stops in Washington, DC, Howard University, and even The White House. This tour is part of their mission to celebrate and promote Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the nation, and Darryl is the mastermind who put the tour together.

The HBCU tour not only reunites the iconic cast, including Kadeem Hardison, Emmy Award Winner Jasmine Guy, Cree Summer, Charnele Brown, Dawnn Lewis, Glynn Turman, Sinbad, producers Susan Fales, and the legendary Debbie Allen, but it also aims to raise awareness and enrollment for HBCUs nationwide.

“A Different World” has left an indelible mark on many, consistently ranking first or second among Black viewers during its six-year run. The series, now streaming on Max, continues to inspire generations to choose HBCUs as their academic homes. By leveraging the show’s cultural impact, the cast, along with presenting sponsor Cisco and premier finance partner Wells Fargo, is launching a scholarship program to ensure more students can experience the transformative power of HBCUs.
