Shazam Conner and H-Town release the official remix of their recent US Billboard charting single Strokey Doke remix – Shazam Conner ft. H-Town
It’s the first time in 23 years that all three members of H-Town can be heard together, “Strokey Doke (Remix)” is an authentic R&B anthem and a tribute to both Dino Conner and Roger Troutman. Available now worldwide via Shazam Music Inc. and So, Let’s Talk, distributed by Stem.
Released in 2023, the original version of “Strokey Doke” reached No.27 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, amassed over 2 million plays on TikTok, and topped the US R&B iTunes download chart at No.1.
The biggest-selling independent R&B group of all time, H-Town formed in the early 90s, consisting of twin brothers Keven “Dino” Conner and Solomon “Shazam” Conner, along with long-time friend Darryl “G.I.” Jackson. H-Town’s 1993 debut album, Fever for da Flavor, went platinum and topped charts worldwide, with their breakthrough hit single “Knockin’ Da Boots,” reaching #1 on the R&B chart, and #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Unfortunately, after several more hit singles and albums, in 2003 Dino died in a tragic accident.
Strokey Doke remix – Shazam Conner ft. H-Town
The release of “Strokey Doke,” launched a solo career for Shazam Conner, a teaser of what fans can expect from his forthcoming debut EP. His second single “Pac Man,” also reached No.4 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart and No.29 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart.
