How Many Hits Does a Geek Bar Pulse Have?

The Geek Bar Pulse contains 16 ml of e-liquid and is advertised to deliver up to 15,000 hits before running out of vape juice, giving you a device that – on the surface, at least – sounds like it could potentially give you weeks or even months of enjoyment. The reality, however, is a bit different – and that might be why you’re now looking for information about how many hits a Geek Bar Pulse really has.

As you’re about to learn, there’s no single answer to the question of how long a Geek Bar Pulse lasts because the answer depends on how you vape.

If you monitor your vaping habits at all, there’s no reason why you can’t save a bundle of money each month with the Geek Bar Pulse compared to buying cigarettes – but it does require a bit of active involvement on your part.

In this guide, we’ll explain everything that you need to know.

Does a Geek Bar Pulse Really Have 15,000 Hits?

The first thing you need to understand about the Geek Bar Pulse is that you’re probably not going to get 15,000 hits out of it. That’s because the advertised puff count for the Geek Bar Pulse – or any other disposable vape – is usually based on the assumption that you’ll only puff on the device for about a half second at a time.

If you pay attention to your vaping patterns, though, you’ll probably find that your puffs are much longer than a half second. For most vapers, a puff length of just two seconds is completely reasonable. If your vape’s advertised puff count is based on half-second puffs, you’re only going to get a quarter of what’s stated on the package. In the case of the Geek Bar Pulse, that’s more like 3,750 puffs.

Although that might seem disappointing on the surface, let’s compare that number to smoking. Typically, a smoker puffs on a cigarette around 8-10 times before putting it out. So, even if you’re only getting 3,000 puffs out of a Geek Bar Pulse, that’s still the equivalent of something like 15 packs of cigarettes. That means you can still expect to save a huge amount of money compared to smoking.

What Factors Affect How Many Hits a Geek Bar Pulse Has?

Longer vs. Shorter Puffs

As we explained above, the main factor that affects how many hits you get out of a Geek Bar Pulse is how long each puff is. If you take longer puffs, you’ll get fewer hits before the device runs out of e-liquid. That’s not really useful information in the real world, though, because limiting your puffs to a half second won’t actually accomplish anything if you end up taking four times as many hits in order to feel satisfied. You’ll learn more about that shortly.

Pulse Mode vs. Regular Mode

The other factor that affects how many puffs you’ll get out of a Geek Bar Pulse is which of the device’s two modes you’re using. If you use the Pulse setting, the device vaporizes the e-liquid with two coils instead of just one. The vapor clouds will be twice as large, but the device will also use its vape juice twice as quickly.

Using Pulse Mode on a full-time basis, you can expect that the Geek Bar Pulse will deliver about half as many hits as it would in the standard mode. On the other hand, it’s possible that you’ll take shorter puffs when you’re using Pulse Mode – so in that way, the total number of hits will even out to a certain extent. It depends on your personal usage patterns.

When you ask how many hits a Geek Bar Pulse should have, though, what you’re really asking is what you can do to make your device last longer – and that’s what we address as we bring this guide to a close.

How to Make a Geek Bar Pulse Last Longer

Why is it so important to know how many hits a Geek Bar Pulse has? If you’re asking that question, you’re most likely asking because you want to know if you’re spending an appropriate amount on your vapes because you want to maximize your savings compared to smoking.

Here’s how to find out. The next time you open a new Geek Bar Pulse, record the number of days it lasts before running out of vape juice. You might find it helpful to do this with a few devices, so you can get an average. Divide the price you pay per device by the number of days they typically last, and you’ll find out how much you spend on vaping per day. The number should be significantly smaller than the price of a pack of cigarettes. If it is, you’re doing great and don’t need to change anything.

If you’re not saving money, though – or if you’d like to save even more – you’ll need to pay closer attention to the way you vape and reduce the number of times that you puff on your device per day. How can you do that? We’ve got an easy strategy for you.

You already know that a cigarette has about 10 puffs in it on average. Therefore, you’ll get around 200 puffs out of a pack of cigarettes in all. All you need to do to replicate the pattern of a pack-a-day smoker, then, is divide your vaping into about 20 sessions per day with about 10 puffs per session. If you do that, you can be certain that you’re getting the maximum number of hits possible out of your Geek Bar Pulse without compromising your satisfaction.

If you try this technique and find that you need to take a few extra hits in order to fully satisfy your nicotine cravings, don’t worry about it. Studies suggest that the nicotine that you get from vaping is only about 68 percent bioavailable, which is roughly 15-25 percent less than the bioavailability of the nicotine in cigarette smoke. So, you may need to take a few extra puffs, but you’ll still find that your devices last much longer than they currently do.
