Alienz Alive’s IMRSQD Emerges With Thrilling New Song “Lonely”

Following the release of “Sunday Coffee,” Namibian Indie Pop/Rock artist IMRSQD connects with in-house producer Moflo Music for “Lonely.” Written from the perspective of somebody going through the motions of being alive without actually living life, the song details the tough topic of suicide and how material possessions can only offer temporary comfort.

“I started to realize that I was internally processing the grief of losing my oldest sibling to suicide. On the outside, it seemed as though he had a perfect life, but internally, he was battling with depression. I decided to write the song to honour the memory of his life. The amazing individual that he was. I want to dedicate this song to my big brother, Patrick David Kint,” says the award winning creative in a press statement about the record.

Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins launched a new record label last year, Alienz Alive. They encourage artists to use their gifts to uplift and inspire. The Alienz Alive roster currently includes IMRSQD, Jon Keith, GAWVI, Alex Jean and TJ Carroll.

IMRSQD is a message driven musician inspired by personal experiences and life’s journey. Alongside his four siblings, he was brought up by his parents Augustina & Frederick Kint. After spending nearly a decade at boarding school in Cape Town, he finished highschool in Windhoek. Poised to be a doctor, he went on to study medicine and obtain a degree.

The former healthcare worker embraced his new found faith in 2012 and has been professionally pursuing a career in the arts non-stop ever since. Creating modern music that blends transparent lyrics, he’s most known for his collaborations with American instrumentalist Moflo Music; together they have produced several projects and songs, including “Patience,” “Solay,” and “Run It Up.” With his unique style and inspirational message, he’s established himself as a rising star in the Alternative scene.
