Who Is Psiryn? The Hype Magazine Spotlights The History-making R&b Trio Taking Over The Charts

After making history as the first R&B girl group in over two decades to top Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart with their breakout single “Sober,” Psiryn is not slowing down. The trio—Anaya Chayenne, Jada Denise, and Victoria McQueen—continues to carve their name into the modern R&B landscape with their latest release, “The Softest.”

Released through Kandi Koated Entertainment, “The Softest” revisits Xscape’s iconic slow jam “The Softest Place on Earth,” blending ’90s nostalgia with today’s unapologetic vulnerability, sensuality, and vocal chemistry. It’s more than a remake—it’s a bold continuation of a legacy. Produced by T-Nyce and written by Ashun, the record’s updated interpretation was brought to Kandi Burruss, who tapped into her original Xscape roots and enlisted longtime collaborator Jonathan “Jay-O” Henry and vocal producer Brandin Jay to create a lush, harmony-rich version built for today’s R&B fan.

“When Kandi introduced the song to us, it just felt right,” the group shared. “We didn’t overthink it. We let the music speak for itself, and what came out was this beautiful moment that feels both timeless and brand new.”

“The Softest” draws listeners into a world where intimacy meets empowerment. It’s the kind of track that gives permission to feel—deeply. The reception speaks for itself. The single is already featured on Spotify’s R&B Weekly and multiple Apple Music playlists like Emerging R&B Songs, Best New R&B Songs, New in R&B, and Day One.

This moment isn’t accidental. It’s strategic. It’s earned. And it’s the latest chapter in Psiryn’s rise.

“Psiryn isn’t just riding a wave—they’re building one. With ‘The Softest,’ they’ve proven that you can honor the past while commanding the future. This is the evolution of R&B, and they’re at the forefront.”The Hype Magazine

While “Sober” introduced the world to Psiryn’s rawness and depth, “The Softest” reveals their evolution as cultural storytellers, shaping a softer, yet fiercely intentional narrative in R&B.
