Ebony Austin Shines in Dallas with Grand Opening of Nouveau Noir

On Saturday, April 26th, the city of Dallas welcomed a bold new chapter in luxury dining with the grand opening of Nouveau Noir, the latest venture from hospitality maven Ebony Austin. Held in the vibrant Addison neighborhood, the private tasting and ribbon-cutting ceremony were nothing short of show-stopping—fusing high fashion, high flavor, and high spirits into one unforgettable evening.
The event was hosted by none other than K104’s Dede McGuire, who brought her signature star power (and a fabulous fit to match) to the ribbon-cutting celebration. Guests, including local influencers, media, and Dallas elites, gathered to toast Austin’s latest achievement—an upscale restaurant that radiates modern Black excellence and unapologetic Southern charm.
Inside, Nouveau Noir dazzles with thoughtful design details—a quartz bar, plush VIP booths enclosed by a $30,000 chain curtain, and a dramatic Noir-inspired aesthetic punctuated with vibrant color and warmth. But it’s not just a feast for the eyes: the menu reflects Austin’s signature twist on elevated Southern cuisine, paired with an inventive cocktail program that had attendees raising their glasses more than once.
“When I create spaces, I’m thinking about legacy, community, and culture all in one. Nouveau Noir is a love letter to Black excellence—and to doing things our way, without compromise,” Ebony Austin shared during our one-on-one conversation.
Already a staple in Atlanta with her acclaimed Nouveau Bar & Grill locations, Austin’s Dallas debut is more than an expansion—it’s a movement. The new location has created over 75 jobs and stands as a beacon of economic empowerment. Austin, who has invested more than $1 million in HBCU scholarships and provides rent-free housing for families in need, continues to walk the walk as a businesswoman rooted in purpose.
As the sun set and the DJ turned up the volume, the grand opening turned into a full-blown celebration—complete with craft cocktails, decadent bites, and a high-energy crowd that lingered late into the evening.
