Marshmello and Joytime Collective Launch a New Era with Jumpstart Vol. 1, Out Now

After a decade of unforgettable drops, genre-defining hits, and global chart domination, Marshmello officially kicks off the next era of Joytime Collective with the release of Jumpstart Vol. 1—the label’s first-ever artist compilation, out today as part of the larger Marshmello Presents: 10 Years of Joytime campaign. Listen here.

A bold introduction to the next wave of electronic innovators, Jumpstart Vol. 1 blends familiar energy with fresh perspective. Leading the seven-track collection is a brand-new Marshmello song, “BASSLINE FLEXA,” a high-octane, bass-forward cut pulled from the vault as a thank-you to fans who’ve been there since the beginning.

Marshmello commented: “Excited to keep the journey of Joytime Collective going and ever more excited to showcase some new talent. I love the diversity of this compilation and I would tell everyone to keep an eye on everyone here.”

The rest of the compilation highlights a curated lineup of boundary-pushing talent handpicked by Marshmello. From breakbeat chaos to emotional melodics, Jumpstart Vol. 1 is a future-facing snapshot of where Joytime is headed, courtesy of its founder. The 8-track compilation follows on the heels of its singles, “EASY TO LEAVE” by Lunnari, and KILLMATTER’s high-octane “BALENCIAGA BARBIE. Rounding out the compilation are four more contributions from up-and-coming artists: Ailow’s “high”; DIMEPIECE’s “Night Shift”; Holmesick’s “ONLYFORYOU.”; 4URA’s “Pump It Up!”; and Dr. Apollo’s “Shutdown.”

With Jumpstart Vol. 1, Joytime Collective introduces a thoughtfully curated group of emerging artists whose styles reflect the label’s evolving identity, all hand-selected by Marshmello himself. It’s a fitting way to mark ten years, and set the tone for what’s to come.

In 2022, Marshmello received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, and his hit single “Numb” with Khalid landed in the top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was also nominated for “Song of the Summer” at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. In 2023, he continued to push boundaries, collaborating with artists like Brent Faiyaz, Dove Cameron, P!NK, and Sting. He also released his first-ever Latin album, Sugar Papi, featuring massive hits like “Esta Vida” with Urbano sensation Farruko, “Harley Quinn” with Fuerza Regida, and the chart-topping “El Merengue” with Manuel Turizo.

More recently, Marshmello made history with his second collaboration with Kane Brown, “Miles On It,” which became the first song ever to debut at No. 1 on both the Dance/Electronic and Country charts. He also released his second track with the Jonas Brothers, “Slow Motion.” As we get into 2025, Marshmello is focusing on returning to his dance music roots and re-launching his label, Joytime Collective. Through this new chapter, he will continue to release music independently and sign emerging artists he’s passionate about.

About Joytime Collective

Joytime Collective is the independent record label founded by GRAMMY-nominated and award-winning DJ/producer Marshmello. Established in 2015, Marshmello began anonymously uploading a series of singles to his SoundCloud account. These tracks generated significant online buzz and became the foundation for his self-released debut album, Joytime.

Joytime Collective is home to some of Marshmello’s biggest releases, including “Happier” with Bastille, “Silence” with Khalid, “Here With Me” with CHVRCHES, and his latest electronic album, Shockwave, which features prominent acts like Subtronics, Eptic, and TroyBoi. After nearly a decade of genre-defying exploration, Marshmello is returning to his roots in trap and bass, positioning his label at the forefront of EDM and bringing the joy of dance music to fans everywhere.
