Sammy Virji Returns With Highly Anticipated Sophomore Album Same Day Cleaning Out Now on Astralwerks
Sammy Virji cements his place as one of dance music’s most exciting names with the release of his sophomore album, Same Day Cleaning, out now via Astralwerks.

UKG don Sammy Virji has been creating serious noise on both sides of the Atlantic leading up to the album. In April, he drew some of Coachella’s biggest crowds across his debut shows, before dropping “Nostalgia” ft. Issey Cross. May saw the release of “Cops & Robbers” with Skepta which has surpassed 11M+ streams. More recently, Virji dropped club ready heater “925” with Chris Lake, keeping anticipation sky-high for the full LP.
The 16-track project is stacked with guest features and collaborations across UKG, grime and dance. Giggs appears on opener “One For The Books,” MJ Cole brings classic garage depth on “Doctor”, and pioneers Tuff Jam link up on “Up & Down”. Elsewhere, Spice and Flowdan go heavy on “Match My Mood”, Chris Lake lends his global house sound to “925”, and rising producers salute and 33 Below add fresh melodic layers. Unknown T, Champion, IRAH and Issey Cross also feature on this latest body of work that bridges the old-school and new-school, celebrating UK club culture at its finest.
2025 has already been a landmark year for Virji: from pulling huge crowds at Forest Hill Stadium in New York, to B2B’ing with Four Tet, plus festival sets at Lightning in a Bottle, Movement Detroit, Hideout, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Outside Lands, All Points East and Reading & Leeds.
Sammy returns this spring with two sold-out UK headline shows, his biggest to date on home turf, at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on Friday April 17 and Saturday April 18. The 10,000-capacity event promises to be a milestone celebration for one of the scene’s defining figures.

Sammy Virji is driving the evolution of UKG, as the genre takes the world by storm – again. His DJ Mag set from 2023 went extremely viral, propelling him into a new level of fame, not without reason; not only is he a masterful selector, he does it all with a massive smile on his face. He’s gone B2B with Four Tet in Liverpool, been a resident at Radio 1 (including making a renowned Essential Mix for them), and DJ Mag would later nominate him for Best Producer at their Best of British awards. All of this, but he’s not just a sensation in the UK: across the pond, he drew one of the biggest crowds at Coachella earlier this year, while his last couple of singles have charted as far as New Zealand. His songs have tens of millions of streams each, with ‘If U Need It’ certified Gold, while his Skepta collaboration, the careening banger ‘Cops & Robbers’, made the top 10 in the UK dance charts.
