Voting for the first round began on October 3 and continues through October 15, marking a significant milestone in Derrick’s career as a leading voice in contemporary spoken word and music. In conjunction with this recognition, Derrick is set to bring his artistry to audiences across Dallas and beyond with an action-packed fall schedule. His upcoming appearances and collaborations include:

A long-standing Artist-in-Residence at the South Dallas Cultural Center, Derrick has performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, contributed to national television and stage productions, and produced projects alongside industry icons such as Adam Blackstone. He is also the founder of #fortheculture, an Economic Cultural Hub of Opportunity (ECHO), supporting artists and entrepreneurs through education, mentorship, and creative collaboration.
