The saga continues. Today, Atlanta firebrand 1K Phew shares the third installment of his acclaimed anthology series with What’s Understood 3 – now available to stream on all digital platforms via Reach Records.

His first What’s Understood project in six years, the new LP spans 17 tracks and features guest appearances from Lecrae, Forrest Frank, Anike, Torey D’Shaun, 1K Pson, Aha Gazelle, KB, and more.

Speaking about the album, Phew says, “WU3 (What’s Understood 3) is my story in real time — the highs, the lows, and the moments God kept me when I didn’t even realize it. I wanted this project to sound like motivation you can ride to and live by. It’s faith in motion for the lost who’s still trying to get it right. I’m not preaching perfection, I’m showing progress and pushing unity.”

Alongside What’s Understood 3, the Dove Award winner unveils the accompanying music video for album highlight “Ain’t He,” featuring WHATUPRG & Ty Brasel. The Barsnetti-directed visual finds the collaborators delivering slick rhymes about God’s favor over hard-hitting production.

1K Phew’s latest project is a continuation of his What’s Understood series, with What’s Understood and What’s Understood 2 dropping in 2019. The album adds to a massive year for one of Gospel Rap’s brightest stars. Back in August, Phew’s hit single “MOVE” started to travel online, eventually leading to a viral dance trend spearheaded by Brotherhood Dance Crew – culminating in over 10K creates on TikTok and averaging more than 40K streams per day.
