Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” Goes Diamond, Breaks Billboard Hot 100 Record, and Scores Grammy Nomination

Grammy-nominated superstar Teddy Swims has officially earned RIAA Diamond certification for his global smash “Lose Control.” This milestone marks a historic achievement as only the 200th song ever to reach Diamond status – 10 million certified units in the US alone.
Swims’ Diamond moment arrives amid a landmark year. He recently received a nomination for the 68th Annual GRAMMY® Awards, adding to his growing list of accolades. The now two-time GRAMMY®-nominated artist earned recognition for I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. Last year, Swims received his first GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist at the 67th GRAMMY® Awards, where he also delivered a show-stopping performance of his breakout hit “Lose Control.”
Fresh off wrapping his expansive “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy” World Tour, Teddy will return home to Atlanta, Georgia, this December for his annual Kegmas charity celebration.
Earlier this year, Teddy unveiled the most comprehensive and personal version of his debut album yet, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Complete Edition). The (Complete Edition) gathered up new music alongside all of the songs from Swims’ record-breaking first albums, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) and (Part 2), which included the powerful singles, “Bad Dreams,” “Guilty,” “Are You Even Real” with GIVĒON, “The Door,” and “Lose Control.” The latter has nearly 5 billion global streams and holds the record for the longest Hot 100 run in history.
After releasing I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) in January, which includes cameos from GIVĒON, Muni Long, Coco Jones, and GloRilla — he performed “Lose Control” at last year’s 67th GRAMMY Awards, where he was nominated for Best New Artist. He went on to launch a sold-out UK and European arena tour, followed by a festival sweep across South America, sold-out arenas across Australia and New Zealand, and then his biggest North American headlining tour to date. He just wrapped a stadium tour in Australia and shows in Japan, South Korea, Singapore. Swims is also set to perform at both Coachella and Stagecoach next year!All of that followed a banner 2024 fueled by the incredible success of I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), which shot “Lose Control” to #1 on not only the Hot 100, but also #1 at five radio airplay charts (Radio Songs, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, Adult Contemporary Airplay, Adult R&B Airplay). Swims delivered thrilling performances at the 2024 MTV VMAs, where he received three nominations, and the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, where he received eight nominations and won two awards: Top Hot 100 Song and Top Radio Song of 2024. “Lose Control” holds the record for the longest running Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 and longest running song on Hot 100 chart in history!
Still in full stride, Swims most recently teamed up with DJ/Producer David Guetta and record-smashing pop artist Tones And I for their recent single “Gone Gone Gone,” out now via Warner Records.
