Colorado Veterans Project Announces 2026 Signature Events

Colorado Veterans Project (CVP), one of the largest veteran-focused nonprofit organizations in Colorado, has announced its lineup of signature fundraising, community, and career-driven events for 2026. The initiatives advance CVP’s mission to empower veterans and transitioning service members through career development, meaningful employment, entrepreneurship, and community connection.

LET FREEDOM SWING GOLF TOURNAMENT RETURNS TO CASTLE PINES

CVP will launch its fall fundraising season with the sixth annual Let Freedom Swing Golf Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 17, at The Ridge at Castle Pines North in Castle Pines, Colorado. The tournament brings together veterans, supporters, and community leaders for a morning of competition, camaraderie, and purpose.

Set on the Tom Weiskopf-designed course, the event offers scenic Front Range views alongside challenging play. Registration is open to individuals, twosomes, and foursomes and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and range balls, a grab-and-go breakfast, a lunch buffet, and two beverages.

DENVER VETERANS DAY RUN, PARADE, AND FESTIVAL RETURN

Later in the year, CVP will partner with the City of Denver to host the 18th annual Denver Veterans Day Run and the 13th annual Denver Veterans Day Parade & Festival on Saturday, Nov. 14, at City Park in Denver.

Participants may choose from a 5K, 10K, or the 10K Rippetoe Rucksack Challenge, which requires carrying a 25-pound ruck or backpack. Registration includes a finisher medal, commemorative race T-shirt, and timing bib.

CAREER AND HIRING SUPPORT EVENTS PLANNED FOR 2026

In addition to its signature public events, CVP will host veteran hiring and career-support programs throughout 2026, offering skills training, employment resources, and employer connections. Event details will be announced as finalized.

BUILDING COMMUNITY AND SUSTAINING VETERAN SERVICES

CVP-hosted events strengthen community bonds while sustaining funding for veteran programs. By bringing veterans and civilians together, CVP helps ensure continued camaraderie and purpose for veterans transitioning to civilian life.
