Alexa Lieb did not start making music with a master plan. She started writing songs as a teenager because she needed somewhere to put her feelings. What began as self-therapy slowly turned into a creative language of its own, one built on honesty, melody, and emotional release.
Now based in Atlanta, Alexa Lieb (@soulex) is stepping into a new chapter with “Red Lips,” a standout single from her debut project December Baby. The track captures a simple moment of empowerment. Too cold to dress up or go out, Lieb puts on a bold red lip and lets that be enough to feel confident, grounded, and attractive. “My sound is a mix of soul and garage band production,” Alexa Lieb says. “I consider it pop music but made with more freedom. I’m a big story teller and the sonics help amplify the journey I take the lister on.”

Her influences stretch from the timeless emotion of Amy Winehouse and Adele to the grit of Arctic Monkeys and the pop instinct of Michael Jackson. December Baby has quickly become a breakout debut, landing at #2 on Apple Music’s Holiday New Releases list, while “Red Lips” currently appears on the platform’s “New in Pop” playlist. Adding to her momentum, Lieb is signed to Ear Drummer Records, the label founded by Grammy-winning producer Mike WiLL Made-It. The partnership signals confidence in her creative vision while allowing her space to grow authentically rather than chasing trends or expectations.
