Chicago’s Forever Mine Music Festival Brings Kaytranada, Keyshia Cole, Kelly Rowland
The inaugural Forever Mine Music Festival takes over Union Park May 23–24, celebrating the timeless sounds of R&B and the roots and future of Chicago house music.

Chicago is getting a brand-new festival that feels like a love letter to the sounds that shaped a generation. The Forever Mine Music Festival makes its debut May 23–24 at Union Park, uniting iconic early-2000s R&B stars with house music pioneers and rising Chicago talent for a two-day, three-stage experience rooted in culture, nostalgia, and forward momentum.
Built around “the sounds that raised us,” Forever Mine positions itself at the intersection of classic R&B, Chicago house, and modern global grooves, bringing together legends, tastemakers, and the next wave of artists under one skyline.
A Lineup That Blends Nostalgia With the Now
The Main Stage is stacked with artists behind some of the most recognizable anthems of the past two decades.
Saturday, May 23 features an R&B-heavy throwback moment led by Keyshia Cole and Kelly Rowland, alongside Juvenile with The 400 Degreez Band, JoJo, Lloyd, Bobby V, Baby Bash, Freddy Phatz, and Ca$h Era.
Sunday, May 24 shifts the energy with a genre-blending closeout headlined by Kaytranada, joined by Monica, Shaggy, Mario, Mýa, Chingy, Nina Sky, M-Dok, and Sean Mac—a lineup that bridges soulful R&B, dancehall, hip-hop, and electronic influences.
Honoring Chicago’s House Legacy
Forever Mine goes deeper than nostalgia. The Warehouse Stage pays homage to the pioneers and innovators of house and club culture—music Chicago gave to the world.
On Saturday, the stage features Terry Hunter, Lady D, DJ Slugo, John Simmons, Celeste Alexander, Rika B., and Twan. On Sunday, the celebration continues with Joe Kay, Lou Phelps, Kitty Ca$h, Hillery Banks, Syko, King Inesse, and ALL2GTHR.
“Chicago gave the world house music, and this city has always been where house and R&B intersect,” said festival co-owners Fernando Nieto and Miguel Torres. “We want to see a crowd of all ages singing the anthems that defined the early 2000s and are now finding new life with the next generation.”
Spotlight on Chicago’s Next Wave
The Silent Disco Stage keeps things local and future-focused, spotlighting artists shaping Chicago’s evolving sound. Festivalgoers can grab wireless headphones and switch between channels featuring sets from Francesca Eva, Kid Clay, Evie The Cool, Jukie Tha Kidd, and more—an immersive way to experience the city’s underground and emerging talent.
More Than Music
Beyond the stages, Forever Mine promises a full festival experience with interactive brand activations, live art installations by Chicago artists, Y2K-inspired photo booths, local merchandise vendors, food from Chicago favorites, hydration stations, and cooling areas.
VIP upgrades offer premium bars, express entry, and enhanced viewing areas for fans looking to elevate their weekend.
Power 92’s DJ Pharris will serve as the official host throughout the weekend, keeping the energy high between sets.
