RodFather Productions Founder Is Redefining Hollywood

Filmmaker Roderick McClure builds a legacy-driven studio rooted in culture, access, and execution.

Roderick McClure Builds a Different Blueprint for Hollywood

Entrepreneur and filmmaker Roderick McClure has established himself as a commanding presence in Hollywood, producing film and television projects that balance cultural relevance with commercial execution. As the founder of Atlanta-based RodFather Productions, McClure develops bold, resonant stories that center culture, humor, and humanity while actively expanding access for voices the industry too often overlooks.

That mission crystallized with Both Eyes Open, the debut feature released under the RodFather banner. Starring Gail Bean, Taye Diggs, Joy Brunson, and Tristan Mack Wilds, the film quickly gained traction. Following its theatrical run, the project ranked No. 1 on STARZ and maintained that position for several weeks. The performance positioned RodFather Productions as a rising force in independent cinema and introduced McClure as a serious creative and business voice.

McClure grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, where cinema shaped his worldview at an early age. Films offered both escape and instruction, presenting ambition through storytelling and making success feel attainable. He advanced from mopping floors to leading teams, building a career grounded in sales and refined through management roles at Fortune 500 companies including Minolta, Panasonic, and Pitney Bowes.

By his late thirties, McClure launched and sold his own litigation support firm, DocuPro. He earned his college degree at age 40, but long before that milestone, he had already developed operational mastery. His guiding principle, ‘If it’s to be, it’s up to me,’ functioned not as a slogan, but as a system.

The Meaning Behind the Name RodFather

The RodFather title reflects earned leadership rather than branding. McClure consistently brings the right people together, aligns incentives, and executes with precision. Decades of business experience inform his ability to engineer collaboration, maintain momentum, and deliver results.

A Family-Driven Studio with a Long View

McClure founded RodFather Productions alongside his son-in-law, Joshua Ferrell, and his daughter, Morgan Kokaram, an accomplished attorney. Together, they blend creative instinct, legal expertise, and operational discipline.

RodFather Productions operates as more than a studio. It functions as a cultural home for storytellers, builders, and disruptors, grounded in faith, family, and legacy. Its next feature, Funny Feelings, a romantic dramedy currently in post-production, stars Pretty Vee and Tristan Mack Wilds and is scheduled for release in 2026.

Expanding Beyond Entertainment
