Emerging Rapper PRODG Drops Authentic Single ‘Invincible’

Emerging rapper, PRODG, is excited to share his authentic sound with listeners everywhere. His new single, “Invincible,” showcases his versatility to the background of hip hop, rock, and pure emotion.
Hailing from Princeton, Indiana, PRODG grew up independent of societal expectations and strengthened by the freedom to think for himself. “My music sheds light on values people have forgotten about and struggles we deal with as a society,” tells the musician.
“My rap is not typical rap,” he adds. “It’s soul music. It has depth. I’m not afraid to say how I feel and what I am.”
Fueled by heartbreak, PRODG began writing 6-7 years ago. He then learned how to mix music to be able to make his own beats. His name, Professional Rapper O Dylan’s Gone or PRODG, is a symbolic moniker referencing the infusion of Dylan into the artist, his taking on a new identity.
“Invincible” is one of four tracks on his Invincible EP. “The EP came together so easily. It’s all about that good industry quality,” adds PRODG. While the process of creating the song and accompanying video took longer than anticipated, it was well worth the wait.
The single was born from a guitar riff sent to PRODG to consider. “‘Woah! That’s it!’ is what I thought when I heard it,” shares the artist, who was immediately invested and began writing to the riff. “I wanted it to be as structured as possible in terms of lyrical composition. Not every song is something I’m 100% focused on, but this was a banger.”
For PRODG, “Invincible” is more than a catchy song—it’s the opportunity to share a story. “I wanted to tell the story of overcoming. The first and second verses and hook are all the result of what I became. The last verse speaks to rising up from where I was to who I became. It’s about overcoming self-doubt as well as the people who doubt you.”
The final verse is also PRODG’s favorite. “I really felt it as I was writing it,” explains PRODG of a moment captured in song. This segment in particular demonstrates PRODG’s versatility as an artist, with the song leaping from a rock/rap mix as drums are added. All in all, the final verse may make listeners reminisce on the days of a young Eminem making waves.
PRODG’s confident delivery of quick verses leading into thoughtful sing-song chorus makes him an emerging artist worth listening to. For PRODG, sharing his music is a way of connecting with listeners, who he feels will find elements of the song that resonate with them. “I want them to believe that anything is possible,” he adds.
PRODG also wants listeners to keep an ear out for new music as he releases it. “I’m constantly dropping new music,” shares the artist. Stay tuned.
“Invincible” is available on all streaming platforms, with promotional support from Starlight PR.
