Snoop Dogg and Cordell Broadus Enter ‘HITMAN’

“The Herbalist” brings the father-son duo into HITMAN World of Assassination as IO Interactive continues building an unexpected bridge between Agent 47 and Hip Hop culture.

Agent 47 has encountered plenty of unusual characters during his career.

Snoop Dogg may rank among the most recognizable.

The Hip Hop icon has officially entered HITMAN World of Assassination in “The Herbalist,” a limited-time Elusive Target mission featuring Snoop’s likeness and original voice work. His son, Cordell C. Broadus, joins him in the game, marking the franchise’s first father-and-son appearance.

Available from Aug. 27 through Sept. 26, the collaboration extends beyond another celebrity cameo. Snoop’s arrival follows HITMAN projects involving Eminem and Wiz Khalifa, further establishing IO Interactive’s World of Assassination as an increasingly interesting meeting point between gaming and Hip Hop culture.

For Snoop, stepping into Agent 47’s universe offered an opportunity to enter another major entertainment franchise while bringing family along for the experience.

“It’s definitely an honor to step into a franchise as legendary as HITMAN, with millions of fans. IO Interactive cooked up a truly fine mission, and bringing my son Cordell along for the ride? That’s awesome,” says Snoop Dogg. “The final ingredient that’s missing is how much style the players are going to be able to bring, so let’s see what you can do against Dr. Cyrus Cane.”

Snoop Dogg Becomes ‘The Herbalist’

Snoop portrays Dr. Cyrus Cane, an eccentric entrepreneur whose latest venture places him directly in Agent 47’s sights.

Set on Haven Island, the mission revolves around Cane’s forthcoming Morsizzles cookie product and a lavish pre-launch event filled with investors, influencers and industry figures.

Naturally, Agent 47 has a different reason for attending.

Snoop provides both the likeness and voice behind Cane, giving the character elements of his recognizable personality while fitting him into the eccentric world HITMAN has developed around its celebrity Elusive Targets.

Cordell Broadus also contributes his likeness and voice to the experience.

Rather than portraying another target, Broadus appears as a guest attending the Haven Island gathering, allowing players to encounter father and son within the same mission.

For IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak, bringing both generations of the Broadus family into the game created another opportunity to expand the franchise’s personality.

“Snoop Dogg is a true icon, and bringing him into HITMAN World of Assassination is a source of immense pride for IOI, even more so as he joins accompanied by his son Cordell, a first for the franchise. Moments like this are what keep Agent 47’s world feeling fresh after all these years, and we’re excited for our community to dive in and experience what we have in store for them,” Abrak said.

Hip Hop Keeps Entering the World of Assassination

Snoop’s arrival becomes particularly interesting when viewed alongside the franchise’s recent relationship with Hip Hop.

In December 2025, IO Interactive launched its Eminem vs. Slim Shady season. The rapper appeared as both Eminem and his alter ego, Slim Shady, in an Elusive Target storyline built around the conflict between the two identities.

Six months later, Wiz Khalifa entered HITMAN World of Assassination through “The Wizard.”

Released in June 2026, that mission cast Khalifa as Taylor Graves, a former boxer turned entrepreneur whose seemingly golden touch ultimately placed him on Agent 47’s assignment list.

Now comes Snoop.

Three distinctly different Hip Hop personalities have been translated into the HITMAN universe in less than a year, and IO Interactive has found ways to build missions around characteristics audiences already associate with each artist rather than simply inserting famous faces into the game.

For a franchise built around elaborate characters, disguises, dark humor, and increasingly imaginative scenarios, the crossover makes a surprising amount of sense.

Where Gaming and Hip Hop Culture Meet

The relationship between Hip Hop and gaming is hardly new.

Video games have long provided another stage for artists through soundtracks, playable characters, voice acting and branded collaborations. What makes HITMAN’s recent run notable is the consistency with which IO Interactive has made Hip Hop personalities part of the actual storytelling.

Snoop’s involvement takes that relationship another step by including Cordell.

The result is both a gaming collaboration and a father-son cultural moment taking place inside one of the industry’s established franchises.

It also fits comfortably within Snoop Dogg’s decades-long ability to move between entertainment categories without abandoning his musical identity.

Music, television, film, sports, entrepreneurship and gaming have all become pieces of the larger Snoop Dogg universe.

Agent 47 can now be added to the list.

‘The Herbalist’ Is Available for a Limited Time

“The Herbalist” is available at no cost through Sept. 26 as part of the HITMAN World of Assassination Free Demo for new players and within the game for existing players during the limited-time period.

Players need access to the Haven Island location for the mission.

The experience is available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, ROG Xbox Ally X, ROG Xbox Ally, PC, PC VR, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iPhone, iPad and Apple silicon Mac.

For players who want continued access beyond the limited Elusive Target window, IO Interactive has also introduced a separate Herbalist Pack containing additional themed content.

For everyone else, the clock is already running.

Snoop Dogg and Cordell Broadus have entered Agent 47’s world, and players have until Sept. 26 to meet them on Haven Island.
