Davido Announces Three-Night Lagos Residency for December
The Afrobeats star will bring “ORIADÉ” and songs spanning 15 years to the National Theatre Dec. 17-19, with tickets on sale Sept. 25.

Davido will return to Lagos for a three-night residency at the National Theatre from Dec. 17-19, 2026, performing material from his latest album, ORIADÉ, alongside songs spanning his 15-year career.
Announced Sept. 18, the residency will take place during Detty December and feature special guest appearances throughout the three evenings. Presale registration is open, with tickets scheduled to go on sale Friday, Sept. 25.
The announcement arrives with an official residency trailer and the music video for “On The Road,” which follows Davido through a year of touring, festival appearances and international travel.

Bringing ‘ORIADÉ’ Home to Lagos
The residency will mark Davido’s first live presentation of ORIADÉ in Lagos, according to the announcement. Organizers describe the engagement as one of the first residencies hosted by an Afrobeats artist in Nigeria.
Across three nights, the five-time GRAMMY nominee plans to connect his latest material with the catalog that established his career. The National Theatre provides the setting for a homecoming centered on the city’s role in his development and the audiences who have supported him along the way.
Special guests are planned for each evening, though names were not included in the announcement.

‘On The Road’ Documents a Year in Motion
Released alongside the residency news, the “On The Road” music video assembles behind-the-scenes footage from Davido’s travels over the past year.
The video includes moments from his 5IVE ALIVE World Tour in Nigeria, Toronto and New York, along with appearances at Paris Fashion Week, his Coachella debut and the opening ceremony of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Those scenes give the residency announcement a broader context. While the video documents the movement of an international career, the December shows will bring that activity back to a single stage in Lagos for three consecutive nights.
A New Album and 15 Years in Music
Davido’s sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, brings together collaborators including Leon Thomas, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, Fola, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay.
The album arrives during a year marking his 15th anniversary in music. According to the announcement, Davido also completed his 42-date 5IVE ALIVE Tour earlier this year, covering 12 countries across four continents.
His recent work includes “No Place Like Home,” a collaboration with Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado featured on the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album.
The Lagos Lagos residency will draw those newer releases into a program that also looks back at his earlier work. For audiences attending during Detty December, the three-night engagement offers an opportunity to hear both phases of his career in the city central to his story.
