MOTHER Goes Galactic with ‘Cosmic Cowboy’ at Delilah Dallas for Nordstrom’s 125th Anniversary
Laci Kaye Booth, Catherine Lowe, Raven Gates Gottschalk, Kevin Miles and Dallas tastemakers joined MOTHER founders Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding at Delilah Dallas for a high-shine celebration of fashion, music and Nordstrom’s milestone anniversary.

Dallas got a little more cosmic — and a lot more stylish — when MOTHER brought its irreverent California cool to Texas for a “Cosmic Cowboy” celebration honoring Nordstrom’s 125th anniversary.
Held September 15 at Delilah Dallas, the intimate fashion-meets-nightlife affair was hosted by MOTHER co-founders Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding and welcomed a mix of celebrities, influencers, fashion insiders, local tastemakers and media for an evening inspired by the brand’s Fall 2026 Cosmic Cowboy collection.
Country singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth delivered one of the evening’s standout moments with an intimate acoustic performance, while notable guests included Catherine Lowe, Raven Gates Gottschalk, Kevin Miles, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Madeline Salter and Amanda Howard, along with Brandi Yvonne, Sarah Jane, Madisyn Seager, Tandis Esfandiari, Chris Kahle and Nordstrom Fashion Director Marie Ivanoff Smith.
The setting itself became part of the story.
Delilah Dallas was transformed into a glamorous, surreal interpretation of the American West, complete with mirrored cacti, disco balls, hypnotic projections and a chrome horse sculpture that reflected light across the room. The aesthetic landed somewhere between desert fantasy, vintage Americana and Studio 54 — unmistakably Western, but through MOTHER’s playful and slightly rebellious lens.
Guests moved throughout the space over martinis and caviar as DJ Emerald Tucker provided the soundtrack. Denim-clad burlesque performers wearing sparkling diamond jackets weaved through the crowd, while tarot readers offered partygoers a glimpse into the future.
It was equal parts fashion presentation, immersive installation and Dallas night out.
The celebration centered on MOTHER’s Cosmic Cowboy collection, which channels the label’s familiar mix of vintage inspiration, humor and California nostalgia through Western influences. That visual language extended well beyond the party.
MOTHER has also created a “Cosmic Cowboy” retail installation for select Nordstrom locations, transforming the concept into a surreal desert landscape inspired by artist Becky & The Bots and reimagined through the fashion brand’s perspective. The installation is featured at Nordstrom NorthPark Center in Dallas as well as the Nordstrom NYC Flagship on 57th Street.
For Dallas shoppers, the celebration continued beyond the guest list.
Nordstrom NorthPark Center hosted a weekend of interactive customer experiences tied to the installation, including tarot readings, aura photography, crystal curation, birth chart readings and apparel customization with patches. The activations extended the world created inside Delilah, giving consumers the opportunity to experience Cosmic Cowboy beyond the clothes themselves.
That experiential approach feels fitting for MOTHER, a brand that has built much of its identity around attitude as much as apparel.
Founded by Becker and Kaeding in 2010, the Los Angeles-based company initially made its mark with vintage-inspired denim before expanding across sportswear, outerwear and accessories. Its aesthetic has long borrowed from the freedom, nostalgia and mischief of 1970s California — an ethos that translated surprisingly well to a Texas-sized celebration.
By the time Booth stepped onto the stage for her stripped-down performance, the room had shifted from fashionable spectacle to something more intimate, with guests gathering around the stage as she performed.
And because every great late-night Dallas party needs an appropriate ending, the evening closed not with another round of caviar but fried chicken sandwiches and baskets of fries.
Luxury, denim, country music, disco balls and late-night comfort food?
For one night in Dallas, MOTHER made the case that the modern cowboy — cosmic or otherwise — has never needed to play by the rules.
