Freddie Long – White Water

British singer-songwriter, Freddie Long shares the striking ‘White Water’ official video – available to watch now.

The ‘White Water’ visual encapsulates the emotional self-written track about finding relief in a loved one while at a low point. It allows an intimate connection with the music through Long’s performance, as well as through the dancers that emphasise the intensity of the lyrics. The video epically ends in an ambiguous way revealing it as ‘part one’ of a gripping developing story that Freddie will uncover more through his upcoming releases.

On the video, Freddie explains: “So excited to share the visual for ‘White Water’ the first single of my upcoming EP. This project is pretty personal to me and talks about self-reflection, pulling yourself from darker moments and being dragged back down by past experiences. I linked up with the director, Steve Glashier who took my concept and helped it come alive. Big up, Steve, you legend! Worked with some incredible talented people across the video, so thanks to everyone involved. The visuals across the EP are in line with each other and the narrative of ‘White Water’ carries through into the next single. I really hope you guys love it and can’t wait to show you what’s to come.”

Taking inspiration from his past experiences – Freddie is the epitome of the millennial generation that is being torn from the harsh realities of the modern world, whilst finding empty solace in the dark side of social media, partying and searching for something more. Long continues: “Through all this hope there’s always your past experiences, vices, and temptations creeping in, trying to pull you back down. ‘White Water’ references the unsteady current of water within a rapid, unstable current that makes the frothy water appear white. Uncertain and fierce”. Freddie’s music holds a deep message to inspire people that there is light even in the darkest of places waiting to help you if you reach out to it.

From a young age, Brighton-born Freddie Long started to develop his distinctive sound and style; uploading his tracks online quickly garnered a fiery momentum behind the singer-songwriter. Since releasing his debut EP ‘Blessed Or Cursed,’ he has received accolades from Wonderland, Official Charts, tmrw Magazine, CLASH and Notion. He has also performed live at The Great Escape, Sundown Festival and BBC Introducing Live.

Freddie is set to raise the bar higher with more new material which will lead to his upcoming EP, out later this year and more live shows to be announced soon. A sure-fire talent, Freddie Long is a worthy young artist to watch in 2020.
