Migos release new album, “CULTURE” on Quality Control Music

Straight out of the North of Atlanta, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff AKA Migos have released their feverishly anticipated sophomore studio album C U L T U R E across all platforms today. The album which features special guests Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, 2 Chainz, Lil Uzi Vert, Zaytoven and more comes on the same week the trio scored their first #1 song, “Bad and Boujee” feat. Lil Uzi Vert on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart for the second time in 3 weeks. The song has concurrently become a viral and cultural phenomenon catching fire online via fan-created videos, memes, and a massive shout out from Atlanta TV show actor and creator Donald Glover who called it the “best song ever” in his Golden Globes acceptance speech and declared the group the “the Beatles of this generation.” “Bad and Boujee” has been streamed over 100,500,000 times on Spotifywhile the official video has garnered over 145 million YouTube views, clocked in over 500 years of watch time and has been added to over 20,000 playlists on the platform.

Migos titled the album C U L T U R E to make a statement to the world and stake their claim as the most important flag bearers of the young generation of artists and influencers. Musically, C U L T U R E is expansive and layered with all three members’ voices galvanized in consummate synergy. Production from the likes of Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, Murda Beats, OG Parker, 808 Purps, Nard & B, Buddha Bless, XL, Deko, Cassius J and more provide the sonic backdrop for the group’s most realized body of work to date. The subject matter is the lifestyle and the lifestyle is young and rich. With a meteoric buzz surrounding the group in less than one month into the new year, Migos made their television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live, released the iconic “T-Shirt” video, played back to back sold out shows in LA and Santa Ana, graced the cover of the New York Times Thursday pop section yesterday, and will teach a master class to students at NYU tomorrow (Saturday, January 28th). Migos is also playing their sold out record release show at Highline Ballroom in New York tonight. Listen to C U L T U R E now and stay tuned for Migos to hit the road soon as they continue to take 2017 by storm.
