Riz Ahmed and Lena Waithe weren’t the only celebrated newcomers at this year’s Emmy Awards, as the lucky few to make it to the Winners Circle were welcomed with an exclusive taste of Sterling Vineyards Iridium Cabernet Sauvignon 2014. John Lithgow, Donald Glover, and Sterling K. Brown were among the first to sip the $250-bottle ultra-limited wine, created just for the occasion from the iconic California winery, while waiting to have their statuettes engraved. Stars including Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Alexander Skarsgård also went home with their own personalized bottles of Sterling Vineyards Iridium to toast the win with loved ones. A few great moments with Sterling Vineyards from the Winners Circle:
– Sterling K Brown sharing an intimate moment with wife Ryan Michelle Bathe, as the two embraced to celebrate his win, toasting with a glass of Sterling Vineyards Iridium Cabernet
– Donald Glover swirling a and sipping a glass of Sterling Vineyards Iridium Cabernet, before sharing his thoughts on the wine: “tasting notes of… success!” Donald also pointed out that the wine matched his suit perfectly.
– John Lithgow picking up his bottle after finally tracking down his Emmy, which he had forgotten to pick up backstage
It wasn’t just those in the Winners Circle enjoying Sterling Vineyards wines yesterday evening. Alexander Skarsgård and newly-christened Emmy Queen Julia Louis-Dreyfus sipped the wines at the VEEP table, while Billy Eichner was spotted enjoying the Sterling Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet as he made his way around the party. Overall, 5040 bottles of Sterling Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet were served to pair with the country’s largest sit own dinner – that’s over 25,000 glasses of wine over the course of the evening.
