Australian Producer Kito Announces New EP and Drops First Single ‘Strawberries’

Strawberries,” the new single from rising Australian producer Kito is out now. The track—featuring collaborations with Elley Duhé, Trini-dad James and Kodie Shane—will appear on her forthcoming EP HAANI out on September 7.

Of the song, Kito says, “I’m so excited to release ‘Strawberries.’ All these features ended up on this track in different ways. I had the Trinidad James hook from a session we did a couple of years ago. Elley and I worked together in L.A. last year on a track for her album, and then I played her the idea and she loved it so we got back in to work on it. I worked with Kodie on the same trip and she recorded her part in Atlanta. ‘Strawberries’ is about getting lost in a cloud with someone you care about, and enjoying that moment in time with no worry for the past or future.”

A 2017 break-up led Kito back to her remote, Australian seaside hometown where she began work on the HAANI EP. It’s her most accomplished release to date and includes collaborations with Shy Girls, Broods, Tara Carosielli, and Hudson Mohawke.
