About the track, Dermot shares that “The whole song started with just that one idea, that sole lyric of ‘you’ve got that power over me.’ The idea of being totally bewitched by somebody, to be totally under their spell, in a really good way. Just totally enamoured.”

Off the back of a huge summer festival circuit that included Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Mo Pop Festival and more, Dermot is currently on a massive 42-date worldwide tour that is completely sold out. About Dermot Kennedy —

Dermot Kennedy has generated a diehard fan following, both through his independently released music, and as a revered live performer. A run of SXSW showcases earlier this year firmly cemented Dermot as a “break out artist” (New York Times, NPR) which was followed by massive summer festival circuit that included stops at Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Mo Pop and more. Dermot’s penchant for electronic urban production marries beautifully with his soaring and emotive vocals – creating a one of kind experience. Having amassed over 300 million streams globally for his songs so far, Dermot has an ear for crafting tracks that are stripped-back yet explosive. Zane Lowe called his single “Moments Passed” “big, beautiful and bold,” also describing it as a “lesson in songwriting.” His recently released mixtape, executive produced by Mike Dean caught the attention of music fans across genres and landed the critically lauded live performer a stop at NPR’s acclaimed “Tiny Desk” series (watch here) as well as impassioned session with COLORS (watch here). And now, with his “Keep The Evenings Long” tour and having sold over 75,000 tickets worldwide — including two long time sold out shows at Electric Brixton in U.K, Brooklyn Steel in New York and the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles — and new music to come from the young Irish act, Dermot is proving that he is one of the industry’s most exciting new artists globally.
